Jacob
Jacob is a 6th generation buckling from some of the nicest, most well attached udders in our herd. His dam Susan's first freshening udder is everything I was hoping for-- buttery soft but springy, with a wide open udder arch, rolls of supple dairy skin, globularly shaped, with well placed teats just right for hand milking. Susan's dam Ruby was a powerhouse milker, milking over 9# a day for months at a time and keeping condition while doing it. Susan's sire's dam had an incredible udder and held up unbelievably well into old age! Susan's dam was a full sister of Susan's sire's dam, so she is line bred on gorgeous, productive udders that stood the test of time. Jacob's sire is out of Tessa, who continues to pump out milk and look fantastic at 6 years old. She is a wide, low maintenance, highly productive easy keeper who is extremely easy to milk. Jacob offers exceptional width, teat placement, smooth, well extended fore udders, and wide and high rear udder attachments behind him, in addition to wonderful longevity and production. Jacob has wide, long, well set ears, although he has plenty of ear control he uses to communicate! Jacob is 500 at weaning.
